STEVAL-ISA182V1, VIPerPlus 8.4W (30W Peak) Power Offline Flyback Converter
The STEVAL-ISA182V1 Evaluation Board implements an isolated flyback converter at 12 V, 700 mA, 8.4 W with 30 W peak. Using the VIPER38HD, a high-voltage converter with fixed frequency of 115 kHz (H type), that integrates an 800 V rugged power MOSFET with PWM current-mode control.
High-level protections feature dual-level overcurrent protection (OCP), output overvoltage, short circuit, and thermal shutdown with hysteresis. The OCP comes with selectable threshold. Another OCP with a higher value protects the VIPER38HD from transformer saturation or short circuit of the secondary diode.

30 mW No-Load Consumption at 230 V ac
Jittered Frequency reduces the EMI
Extra Power Timer (EPT) blanks the overload current for few seconds
Output Overvoltage protection with tight tolerance and Digital Noise Filter
Soft-start reduces the stress during start-up which increases the lifetime
Automatic Restart after a fault condition
