Double Lock Plates
The Double Lock plate ensures positive loading of contacts in the housing and is mounted to plug and cap housings for wire applications.
Prevents contacts from being mated halfway

TE Connectivity Power Double-Lock Range
TE Connectivity Power Double Lock Connectors are connectors with a compact design for use in power circuit application and are ideally suited for wiring in refrigerators, air conditioners, washing machines, gas equipment, copying machines and automatic vending machines. These connectors can be used singly by inserting wire-terminated crimp snap-in contacts into the housing. However, to achieve of positive mounting, they can be equipped with a double lock plate that helps prevent/resist halfway mating of contacts.
