Allen Bradley MicroLogix 1100 PLC - CPU
Greatly expand the application coverage area of your control system and boost connectivity with the MicroLogix 1100 by Allen Bradley. This affordable controller offers innovative new capabilities, such as true online editing, alongside the same great features that are characteristic of the MicroLogix family. It is specially designed to improve application coverage through embedded analog inputs, Ethernet communication, and visualisation capabilities for a truly seamless experience.
This controller can be easily programmed with the latest version of the world-class RSLogix programming software (698-7464), and an instruction set that is commonly used with the MicroLogix and SLC 500 modules. The Micrologix 1100 supports a built-in RS-232/RS-485 combo port for serial and networked communication. It has a second embedded 10/100 Mbps EtherNet/IP port which supports peer-to-peer messaging, offering efficient high-speed connectivity between modules and the ability to access, monitor and program from the factory floor to anywhere with an available Ethernet connection.
Allen Bradley are industry leaders in PLC systems and have a wide range of cost-effective control system components which aim to deliver flexible solutions. Their products are made to strict quality standards to ensure reliability and longevity, and enhance the efficiency of your machine processes.
Applications:
This compact PLC module is ideal for remote monitoring and for memory intensive applications that require limited I/O, as it has more memory for data logging and recipe than the MicroLogix 1500. It can suitably meet the needs of material handling and packaging processes, and SCADA RTU. The MicroLogix 1100 modules are expertly designed to handle processes that require up to 80 digital I/O.
Features and Benefits:
It can be combined with four 1762 expansion I/O modules for maximum functionality
It can be applied to a variety of uses due to its large 8 KB memory (4 KB user program with 4 KB user data)
True online editing allows modifications to a program without going offline, including PID loops, for superior refinement of your operating control system
It contains 2 built-in analog inputs, with 10 digital inputs and 6 digital outputs
Excellent ease of use with the embedded LCD screen, which allows you to monitor controller and I/O status, as well as make changes to bit and integer data
Up to 128K bytes for data logging and 64K bytes for recipe
Embedded real-time clock and web server with email functionality for improved convenience and connectivity
Data file download protection prevents critical user data from being altered via program downloads from programming computers or memory modules
Regulatory agency certifications for world-wide market (CE, C-Tick, UL, and c-UL, including Class 1 Division 2 Hazardous Location)
What is a PLC I/O Module?
- Programmable Logic Controller Input/Output Module
PLCs are complex computers which automate control processes by using programs to communicate electronic signals to machines and devices. In simplified terms, they are usually comprised of three components: A CPU (Central Processing Unit), which is the brain or processor of the system, Inputs, and Outputs. An input module detects signals from things like switches, sensors, and buttons. This is processed by the CPU, which leads to an output relaying the CPUs instructions to a machine or device. PLC system functions can be expanded by adding extra I/O modules. PLC systems are widely used in modern industrial automation for controlling machinery, in industries such as packaging, food and beverage production, pharmaceutical, and printing. Allen Bradley offer excellent control capabilities with their flexible PLC systems to give you optimal power, performance, and peace of mind.
