Power-One 66 to 132W Railway Standard DC/DC Converter - Q Series
Q series 66 to 132W DC/DC converters suitable for use in railway applications and other rugged environments. The compact, low profile design (<20mm)of these DC/DC converters enable them to be used as a modular power supply or part of a distributed power system reducing power supply volume whilst maintaining high reliability. These Q series DC/DC converters incorporate input and output filtering, signaling and protection features along with other benefits including flexible output power, high efficiency, low ripple and RFI noise and full input to output isolation. The inputs of these DC/DC converters are protected against surges and transients occurring on the source lines. The virtually unrestricted series or parallel connection capabilities of all outputs on these DC/DC power supplies enable full system flexibility and n+1 redundant operating mode. When several of these converters are connected in parallel a single wire interconnection provides automatic current sharing. These DC/DC converters have PCB boards that are coated in a protective lacquer and the whole unit is fully enclosed in a black-coated aluminium case that acts as a heatsink and RFI shield. Mounting options for these DC/DC converters include 19" DIN- rack systems where they occupy only 3U/4TE or chassis mounting using 4 screws. An additional heatsink can be fitted.
