DeWALT Extreme SDS Plus Drill Bits
Introducing the professional range of SDS Plus Drill Bits from DeWALT, who are leading the way as some of the best drill bits in terms of speed, bit life, and durability. The unique design features an optimised flute design, allowing for more effective debris removal and the new drill bit tip has been designed for better penetration, especially for stubborn materials. Because of this, these SDS power tool accessories are specifically suited for construction applications and tasks.
Features and Benefits:
All bits are made from superior tungsten carbide grade for long life and durability, making it easier to drill through stubborn masonry materials without compromising the bit tip
It features a hardened body for extra strength and reduced breakage
Each metal drill bit has a heavy-duty shank for maximum durability and a maximised central core for increased energy transmission
The drill bit set of 4 pieces is supplied in a plastic case which is ideal for storing and protecting the bits
Applications:
These bits are ideal for fast drilling of a plug, anchor or clearance holes in masonry, stone, concrete, and brick or blockwork. This makes it an essential piece of kit to have if you work within the construction industry to save time and money on being able to perform more efficiently when working with stubborn materials.
Can these drill bits be used with any SDS drill?
Yes
What is SDS?
The Slotted Drive System or SDS was created in the late 1970s when many masonry workers were having issues drilling holes into bricks, concrete, and other hard materials. An SDS drill bit has slots or indentations which allow it to be propelled forward by the drill, using a hammer action. By doing this, the bit can easily push through hard materials like concrete or brickwork and also involves minimal effort for the user because they do not need to lean or push on the drill to make it work efficiently. The hammer action that is created by the drill and the bit together is enough pressure to allow the drill to do all the hard work.
