Harting Han Ex Series, Hazardous Area Connectors

Han Ex series connectors meet all the conditions for connectivity solutions in areas with explosion protection requirements, including applications in mining and the chemical and process automation industries. These connectors are designed to meet the intrinsic safety requirements of the ignition protection class and can therefore be used in explosion-hazard areas 1 and 2. The housing’s alloy was selected so that it can be used in pulverised methane-coal dust atmospheres. These EX series connectors offer IP protection class 65 in mated condition and the blue colour indicates that an intrinsically safe circuit is present. The contact inserts of the Han EX series of connectors provide a high number of pins and meet the standards of the ignition protection class even in the tightest of spaces, termination is the patented Han-Quick Lock technology allowing time-saving and easy assembly without special tools. Featuring reliable and vibration-proof contacting provides maximum safety even in demanding applications, with cross-sections of 0.14 to 2.5mm² able to be connected.
