Product Details
This plastic 40 mm mushroom momentary Part Number 232002 push button switch has been manufactured and designed to provide robust Emergency Stop protection for exposed conveyors or machines.
The stainless steel 316 housing (IP69K rated), allowing high pressure hosing with detergent at +80°C and 100 psi.
This unique Emergency Stop Push Button protection shroud with padlock holes for lock off during maintenance has been designed for situations where no supervisory can take place on a regular basis.
3 pole contact blocks provide positively operated switch contacts.
An added design feature for this non-illuminated button has a special lid safety trip mechanism that makes the safety contacts open if the lid is removed.
The operating temperature ranging from -25°C to +80°C and in turn the clamp for this device should not exceed 2.5 square mm for the conductors.
The enclosure protection is regulated and controlled by IP67 standard and is classified as "dust tight" and protected against immersion.
To reset the red mushroom Pushbutton a twist has to be followed.
The withstand voltage (Uimp) for this Emergency Stop Pushbutton is 2500V.
The ESL-SS series of Pushbuttons from IDEM are standard duty emergency stop switches designed to provide robust emergency stop protection for machines or exposed conveyors.
These round Emergency Stop Push buttons with red plastic heads are designed to be used by operators to shut down a machine, system or process.
In combination with any dual channel safety monitoring controllers these switches can be used as an emergency stop devices and monitored for up to Category 4/PLe to ISO13849-1.
The mounting of Emergency Stop Switches on machines and sections of plant conveyors that cannot by protected by the operators are ideal for ESL-SS series to be used.
All IDEMs ESL-SS series conform to European Standard EN ISO13850 (formerly EN418) and IEC60947-5-5. They have a positive mechanical linkage between the switch contacts and the E Stop Button. The switches are mechanically latched and can then only be returned to the operational condition by pressing the reset button as required by EN ISO13850.
The range of Explosion Push Button Switches can withstand sparking and flames and are IECEx and ATEX certified.
These certificates describe the requirements for equipment intended for use in (potentially) hazardous areas.
ATEX and IECEx both have a quality assurance system. Besides the product certification, in both cases a quality system must be set up by the manufacturer and will periodically be checked by a Notified Body. For both, the quality system is mainly based on ISO 9001 with additional requirements for the design, manufacture and testing of explosion proof products.
