Lumileds LUXEON Z ES Series LEDs
The LUXEON Z ES family of micro sized illumination grade LEDs, from Lumileds, provides high lumen density with exceptional design flexibility and precise optical control. The tiny 1.6 x 2mm footprint (75% smaller when compared to standard 3535 packages) allows very close packing of LEDs for a smaller LES (Light Emitting Surface). As well as this, the LUXEON Z ES LED does not have a dome lens, providing better optical coupling and hence excellent beam angle control and superior colour over angle. Tested and binned at real world conditions of 700mA at 85°C, LUXEON Z ES LEDs are an ideal choice for indoor and outdoor light sources requiring superior beam angles, higher efficiency and lower costs.
Micro size undomed SMT package: 1.6 x 2.0 x 0.68 mm
Hot tested and binned at 85°C and 700mA
Drive current: 1A maximum
Freedom from Binning
3 and 5 step MacAdam Ellipse versions available (Parts with CRI lower than 70 will not have a SDCM value designated and all parts will be within 5 step MCE)
Low thermal resistance: 3°C/W
Vf (typical): 2.85V leading to higher lm/W
TVS ESD protection
Applications include: Indoor lighting, retrofit LED lamps - MR16, PAR, GU10 and candle, also high-flux street light modules, specialty lighting and architectural lighting
