The Microchip PIC18F4480 series of devices offer the advantages of all PIC18 microcontrollers – namely, high computational performance at an economical price – with the addition of high-endurance, Enhanced Flash program memory. In addition to these features, this series introduces design enhancements that make these microcontrollers a logical choice for many high-performance, power sensitive applications. The PIC18F4480 devices include an internal oscillator block which generates two different clock signals; either can be used as the microcontrollers clock source. This may eliminate the need for external oscillator circuits.
