IEC Socket C13, Panel Mount Connectors
From the trusted RS PRO brand, a series of C13 appliance outlet connectors designed for panel mounting. The IEC female connectors feature 4.8 mm solder tab terminals for rapid connection. A basic soldering iron is all that is required, making termination or repair seamless. Once the desired cut-out is made, the connectors are simply pushed into the aperture and retained by either snap-fit tabs or panel screws. Constructed from a durable black UL 94 V-2 thermoplastic material, the RS PRO outlet connectors are extremely robust and hardwearing. Available in single and multiple ways, this series of IEC C13 outlets are ideal for new designs, maintenance and repair.
What are IEC C13 Connectors?
An IEC C13 connector is sometimes referred to as a cold connector. The IEC panel socket is a 3 wire two pole connector, neutral, earth and live. The C13 female connectors have a rated current of 10A and a maximum temperature rating of 70°C. This series of connectors conform to a recognised set of specifications called IEC-60320. The regulations are laid down by the IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission). This ensures they meet common global design standards.
