These tap glands from RS PRO are intended as replacements for an existing tap that has started to leak or had other problems. They include screw threads above and below the rubber O-ring for easy mounting to the outer shell of the tap. Fitting is as simple as removing the tap head, unscrewing the old cartridge and screwing this replacement in its place.
The gland is made from brass, ensuring that it's safe for use with drinking water and resistant to corrosion. Compatible taps will use a half-inch thread and could be used in any setting, including domestic, office or industrial. The tap gland turns from fully off to fully on in a quarter turn, making it easy to use and also suitable for taps with lever arms and in small spaces.
